Data Roles#
There are many different careers available in the field of data, including data scientists, data engineers, data analysts, data architects, data managers, and more. Data scientists use advanced mathematical and statistical techniques to analyze and interpret large and complex data sets, and to develop and implement machine learning models. Data engineers design and build the infrastructure that enables the collection, storage, and processing of large and complex data sets. Data analysts use data visualization and other techniques to extract insights and meaning from data, and to communicate their findings to others. Data architects design and implement the overall structure and organization of an organization’s data. Data managers are responsible for overseeing the data assets of an organization, and ensuring that data is accurate, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations.
