Input/Output: Files, Folders#
In computing, input/output (I/O) refers to the flow of data between a computer and the outside world. Input refers to the data that is sent to the computer, such as through a keyboard or mouse, while output refers to the data that is produced by the computer, such as on a display screen or through a speaker. I/O is an essential part of how computers work, as it allows them to receive data from the outside world, process that data, and produce output in the form of information, images, sounds, or other media. I/O is performed by specialized hardware and software components, such as input devices, output devices, and drivers, which enable the computer to communicate with the outside world.
